A big couple of weeks of song on so many different fronts for me.

Each day is a jumble of them, some glorious, some just need my time and attention, most are for others to sing; but overall, how wonderful to be contemplating my work immersed in song and the voices bringing it to life on a daily basis!

It is a source of wonder and gratitude to me to have spent my life with song all around me, deep in my heart and rarely far from my mind.

The “ah!” we exhale when truth will prevail
In the hearts of all souls, in the firm belief
That these young women will be leading the way,
Their light brightly shining, banishing night,
Taking us forward to new hope of an era
Where they will champion all that is right,
Where they will trumpet the needs of the planet,
Fashion great words to dispel global qualms,
Have all young women be their strong selves,
And call for all people to lay down their arms.

It’s all relative of course, but in recent weeks my fundamentally blessed and lovely life has been something of a challenge.
Nothing life threatening, but the rising belief that I’m not done yet, still have ideas and lots of things to say, but you know………I’m not getting any younger! 🥴
So I’m hanging on to the exciting flavour (& it IS exciting!) of the new and fingers crossed the miraculous will ensue if I hold fast to hope. 🙏

​Life unfolds like the game of Consequences,
Quirky shifts and tangents dart,
Through composed, no strophes here,
Unfolding fragments from each fragile heart.

Unfurling, bit by bit, the flag
Which one day may a standard be,
But then in time superseded
By another, naturally.

Unfettered, it’s inexorable,
This forward telling of each tale,
No guessing where the freedom leads,
But each yarn finds some holy grail.

Unfolding in a way uniquely
Given to each nomadic soul,
