Did you know that if you are already teaching, all you need to do is create documentation of your on-going teaching experience, with reflections, do some personal research, and ultimately, present a live demonstration of your skill?
So if you're already teaching, you're half way there.
So, why do you need this qualification? You don't. Anyone can put a brass plate on their door and call themselves a singing teacher. As a result though, it is very difficult for singers to be sure that the singing teacher with whom they have signed up, is the "real deal." We have a duty to the integrity of our profession, to put bona fide letters after our name to sharpen the difference between those who are clearly not qualified and those who are. |

PrerequisitesGrade 8 singing classical or the Advanced VoiceArt Certificate
VoiceArt requires students to have completed Levels 1 and 2 of the Estill program. Students are strongly advised to also complete their certificate of Figure Proficiency from and Estill International Certified Course Instructor.
Student teachers are advised that going the extra mile to obtain the ATCL or a VoiceArt Associate or Concert/Cabaret Performer certificate, ramps up the overall accreditation.

How it worksLearning singing teachers will be provided for in the context of the
Monday Performance Skills Class. Performance Skills Class is open to everyone, so it will attract a variety of singers from all genres, ages and abilities; making it an excellent opportunity for learning teachers to expand their knowledge of voices and the teaching methods suited to individual singers. Feedback about observations made at PSC will be shared during a regular VoiceArt session. Monday Performance Skills Class will take place on Public Holidays. |
