Ngapartji Ngapartji is a wonderful Pitjantjatjara expression meaning, to sit around the fire, share stories and learn from each other. This work, with the addition of the mark tree, starts with the unworldly melody ad libbed over harmonic overtone singing. It morphs into the more strident middle section with hitting sticks, confronting the diverse difficulties with which all Australians live, before returning to the peace of the fireside.
